Made a big mistake and let a shop with absolutely no Saab experience work on my 1987 900T convert. It all started with a simple oil change which led to them quoting me 1 to 2 hours to remove and replace my exhaust manifold which had a broken stud. Well their mechanic broke two more studs - which led to having them remove the engine in order to drill out the broken studs which led to new motor mounts ( whch I suspect hey ripped) - and since the engine was out I asked them to install a clutch kit, and re seal the engine and so on to a tune of $1,540. I picked up the car today and it seemed fine BUT once I hit the road to my amazement I found that my once notchy transmission now shifted silky smooth -- BUT WITH ONE CATCH I have to hold the shift stick firmly in each gear or else it slips out of whatever gear it's in --- very frustrating especialy on my 45 minute drive home having to hold it in fifth gear. I called the shop and they aknowledged that's what it also did during their test drive but they can't figure out how to fix it. Any suggestions ??????
