When "re-sealing" your trans... they left the spring and detent ball out from behind the rear access panel on your trans. That is what holds the gear selector in place. That panel, on the passenger side of the trans. is easy to get to and remove, but you will need to come up with another spring and ball. There are only a few bolts to remove to check it out. You will need to drain the trans though and maybe get a new gasket if the old one gets destroyed in the process. You will see a hole on the top (I do believe) of the trans casing behind the panel. You may still have the spring there, but if they lost the ball... no notchy trans. Good luck, Brian
