I need to clarify what I mean here. I had to do this years ago with my 9k, and it was kind of counter to what everyone else was doing, but it works, especially once you learn to left-foot brake. By increasing pressure, you're increasing spring rate at that end- having rears higher than fronts is an extreme measure you need to do with a very nose-heavy car like a Saab.
My way of looking at tuning with tire pressure: the goal is to get the fronts to the correct pressure for the car's weight/ alignment- you don't want the tire to roll over and lose grip, or be overinflated, which will also limit grip at that end. It's better to start high on front pressure, then drop by 2psi at a time until you get the right amount of break, or rollover. So yes, you want the minimum possible pressure in front.
BUT, the rears will probably get an optimum amount of break with like 15 psi less than the fronts; problem then is that you'll have too much grip in back & the car will push. Sooo, we put more air in them to make that end stiffer, kind of like putting in a bigger rear roll-bar. That's how we'll end up with higher rear pressures.
