I recently installed polyurethane rear bushings for the front control arms pre-mounted in their carriers (purchsed from eeuroparts, their own brand). I used silicone lube on the front and rear surfaces as well as inside the metal crush tube, but did not disassemble them to lube the surfaces between the carrier/bushing and tube/bushing (hey, that's why I bought pre-assembled parts, assumed that they had to lube to assemble them). The car handles spectacularly, but now squeeks loudly like a rusty old bed in a cartoon!
I posed a question about this on the 9000 board recently, and all but one responder said that the squeeking is a necessary evil of poly bushings (hard to believe)! Figuring that there would be more poly experience on this board, is this true? If not, what would you recommend to cure this?
