the pressure rises because at whatever after BDC when the intake valve closes the CCs at that point compared to what they are at TDC ramain the same
you are compressing compressed air & fuel which simply raises the volume of air & fuel at BDC which makes a bigger bang at TDC its actualy more like raising the displacement
