Turbo t3 questions - GM and others

I've looked at some old posts and I think this is the way to go.
Found this new for $595
T3 Internal Gate
CFM: 450
Compressor Wheel: Super 60 T3
Max HP Rating: 300
Turbine Wheel: 72 w/ 10° clip
$595 less wga
A/R .48 turbine A/R .60 compressor.
I have a 1BAR waste gate to slap on it.
1986 SPG all stock right now (actually 3.0 bar FPR woo hoo)
It was pulling 15psi backing to 11ish when everything was happy.
Base boost is 6.5 +/- psi right now.
I need a new turbo and thought this would be the best bet to work with what I have and get me into the 200-230hp range when I decide to abuse trans #5 in this car (not me - it was on #4 when I got it and 2nd gear syncro was on its last leg). Has a 1989 rebuilt and the old trans is in a NA car ans still going.
I eventually want to get into the 18psi, maybe flirt w/20 at times.
Power in the 4500+ range (no torgue monster).
Is this the way to go?
