Do not drop your base boost. Heck, 6 is low. Unscrew apc box and leave it unscrewed from fender. What I mean is that it will take a few times to get the pot just right. So when you are done turning it down, just let it sit in fender well until it is setup. Now just turn it counter-clockwise until you reach the desired amount of boost, or in your case-less overshoot. I found that turning the one on the right adjusts overshoot, the one on the left adjust max boost. But they work in conjunction to one another. It will take about 10 times to dial it in. You will most likely have to adjust both, but start with the one on the right. Turn it very little, drive it, and adjust again.
