"""
B235E
For 2001, the B235E engine receives many of
the previous upgrades to the B235R engine, for
example:
•Nimonic Exhaust Valves
•Reinforced pistons
"""
and
""" - for MY 2000
2.3 liter engine
The following modifications to the basic engine
have been made on all 2.3 liter engines:
•New exhaust camshaft.
•New, reinforced pistons.
•New nitre-hardened wrist pins.
•New sturdier connecting rods with
trapezoidal small ends. This shape
increases the wrist pin bearing surface area
used during the power stroke.
"""
There are some inconsistancies in the above Saab info.
So this implies stronger pistons on 2000+. So were there different piston improvements, or just the one?
