Heh. I know what you mean, but we were pressed for time. I did unplug
the battery for ECM swapping, but we didn't adapt it properly.
I showed up with the tuner box installed and plenty of adaptation completed,
so that box should have an advantage, right? Well the Aero box didn't care!
Here is a run-by-run description of the morning. Some runs were back-to-back
and some were after analysing data for 10-15minutes (while the car cooled
down).
Run # Computer hp/tq Max boost Min AF at RPMs
Run 1 Tuner 107hp/159tq aborted run due to car running off roller!
Run 2 Tuner 233hp/223tq boost 12 AF 11.5 at 5500
Run 3 Tuner 233hp/220tq boost 12 AF 11.5 at 5500
Run 4 Tuner 233hp/225tq boost 14 AF 11.6 at 5500
Run 5 Tuner 234hp/223tq boost 14 AF 11.4 at 5600
Run 6 Aero 249hp/230tq boost 18 AF 10.2 at 4443
Run 7 Aero 243hp/249tq boost 18 AF 9.9 at 4405
Run 8 Aero 248hp/243tq boost 18 AF 10.4 at 4467
Run 9 Aero 243hp/239tq boost 18 AF 10.2 at 4520
Run 10 Tuner 238hp/228tq boost 15 AF 11.6 at 5688
Run 11 Tuner 234hp/222tq boost 15 AF 11.3 at 5611
What we noticed was that the Aero box give more boost, more fuel, and lower
AR than the tuner box. This made for more torque all over the map.
All numbers are at the wheels. Thanks for the compliment!
