at like 10 BTDC because with the stock diaphram & EZK you will get a huge advance curve part throttle pre boost which will be somewhat corected by the retard diaphram
you would not tune at idle you would be tuning under a load because that is the concern pre ignition under a load
you advance timing untill audible ping is heard under a load than back it off just to where it isent heard the closer to the edge you run it the more dangerous & faster it will be
its not that retarded timing makes more power (on the contrary)its that you are raising combustion chamber pressures under boost so the timing needs to fall back a bit under boost to keep pre ignition down whereas on a NA engine the timing curve is totaly diferent & does not fall back under boost because there is no boost to fall back under
Im thinking about reprogramming the EZK box for turbo aplications it is possible & would blow the doors off of everything out there (reasonably priced) thus far as far as timing controll for the C900T
