done that- but milling throws off the cam timing

I cannot say for sure how much material was taken off. Perhaps too much but I am stuck with this head now.
Taking material off the head will shorten the distance between the crank and the cams. So to me, it makes sense that this would throw off engine timing. I have read of this with other cars of similar design.
The engine runs fine- actually with my setup better than fine, atleast up in the revs. Off-the line performance has gone down however. Probably a good thing as this is an autotragic and should help save it. Though it is a remanned Erikkson unit...
Still wondering if ignition timing changes will help this.
