I want(ed) to do this very badly. I live in the South and heat can and is a problem. I thought about doing this but what stopped me was I was worried about the oil pump handling the pressure. I was going to make some longer oil lines and run them around the engine bay (or maybe follow the pos power cable to the battery) to the right side. Then across the front to the normal cooler and back to the oil cooler housing.
That would be a lot longer lines and also would increase the amount of oil needed at any oil change. (well not really, but to turn it over would be hard). But the extra pressure needed to run the other cooler is what keeps worrying me. Please Please please let me know if you do this!! I would love to help you but I'm sure you don't live near me in Oklahoma City. I'm out here all alone.
