thanks between yours and Jak's comments i'm just trying to find a sweet spot with my newer t3/t4 in my 88 9000t, and try different ways to do it. I love to tinker. I have it now 10psi at 3000rpm, 22psi buy about 3700rpm, then it tapers to 17 after 5500. good a/f up there with the volvo stuff with 2.8bar FPR (.9XXXV on narrow band[awaiting new wideband sensor;-() maybe I cannot expect much more from my setup. she really flies and there is no boost cutack from knock, just a linear taper. It still pulls to redline so I'm not complaining , just seeing if I can eek out a bit more. I'm going with a new aftermarket FMIC extruded core 20X11ishX3.5 (getting it welded locally this week) that should flow better than my 25 inch wide bar and plate, so I'll see how tht turns out. I'm trading so no harm$ done in trying.
the MBC does help with the spool. for a hybrid it really gets going. appaerently wrapping the turbo downpipe 'seemed' to help after 10psi....it seems to ramp to 20+quicker.
nevertheless it sure is a barrel of fun for my old daily driver.
i live in hte great white north so somebody else will have to take up your offer;-)
