It would have been a better duel if "black-jack the Rat" (the SPG) had more gear to work with, but it was awesome to see 120+mph in 4th gear! I think that if Jak had the Euro gears, I think he could have pulled away some distance before having to shift into 5th. Awesome fun.
Having said all of that, I would like everyone to know that Jak is a freak behind the wheel of a Saab. It's one thing to tune and make big power, but I can honestly say that I don't have the balls to do the things that Jak was trying on those mountain hairpin turns, especially with shear drop offs on the other side! Now I'd like to think that I don't scare too easily in a car, but my puckered ass can attest to Jak's madness behind the wheel. I've drifted in snow, rain, and in empty parking lots with a big grin on my face, but I have NEVER done 4 wheel drifts around honest-to-God hairpin turns with NO guardrails in the mountains before. Jak was gassing it hard into the apex, steering into the drift and lighting up the front tires, playing them in stereo with the unstuck rears. I literally was begging the man to stop the F'n car! Freak!!!!!!!! :o)
