What's in their now? I just converted 84s to 78s in my moderately massaged 85 900T and this set is right on for an 80mph cruise at 3250rpm...I'm originally from Britain and can tell you the 72s dog the car unless you have major power. Lots of US 16 Valvers came with 84s...perhaps more to do with that stupid notion of 55mph being a speed limit. If you are dead set on the 72s look on the Web to UK Saab specialists...most 99GL and early 900GLS grade cars with chain primaries came with them. Just for kicks and because it took me ages to find this out the teeth counts are;
33/24 for 84s
32/25 for 78s
31/26 for 72s
Someone out there will thank me later for that!
