Yes it should be 33 teeth for larger gear and 24 smaller.... you get .72 from this. Plus I do have more power....about 220HP maybe more when I complete all mods. Everyone I have talked to that has similar power level has said this is a good mod. My SPG RPM's at 80MPH is just less than 3500. To me that is too high. My old 84 8v that had a 86 trans would be at 3000. My SPG has almost 100HP more and I don't remember the 8v being all that sluggish. That is why the car has 5 gears I can drive in 4th if I want more power.... I also used to get 30MPG+ in the 8v now I get about 26ish in the SPG I am thinking that a big part of this is the RPMS, plus I like to cruise around 90-110MPH on many rural parts of CA. My 8v on a cross country trip I drove at 115-125 for over an hour (in rural utah) it was good fun and smooth and got 25MPG on that tank!!
