Ben, I run a '76 99 EMS with mods in SCCA solo. I run time only and do not try to run in a class. I'm currently running 225-45-15 hoosiers on some odd 6.5 x 15 Ronal wheels, -2+ camber, lowered 2 1/2 + front and 1 1/2 rear, stock 900 rear bar, no front bar, Bilsteins, stock 30 over NA B-engine, 5 spd. I have a great time running, and run against myself I guess. I don't think there's much chance of being really class competitive with the new cars. My car achieves reasonable 'tail out' and I need to rebuild the pedal assembly so I can work on left foot braking. With turbo you really need to work on left foot braking to get boost as much as possible. I plan to work on power mods next. I've also run a couple driving schools on the track - PIR - Portland,OR. and was getting really nice balance and cornering transition, but sort of boring on the straights waiting for next shift.
