What I meant was; just because the pedal is on the floor does not mean the throttle is all the way open. It is easy enough to check on a Saab TB that when the pedal is down the linkage has pulled the throttle body to the WOT stop, but even that does not insure that the butterfly is all the way perpendicular to the air flow axis. When I had my TB on the bench porting it, I could see that the butterfly was about 4' shy of all the way open and removed about 1mm of materiel on the throttle stop.
Just what GM needs, more armchair tuning! But he has pros working on it, not any of us, and it can be done.
