Question about HiPo Clutch on Viggen

I have a 1999 Viggen with an Abbot ECU, intercooler and cat-back exhaust. The previous owner had installed a hi-performance clutch, I don't recall the brand, but it was purchased from ScanWest Auto, and was quite expensive (~$1000!). The issue I have with it is that while the clutch is very stiff, and I have to press it almost all the way to the floor to get full disengagement, if I'm even lightly resting my foot on the pedal (I know, bad habit) and I get into the boost in the higher gears, the clutch will slip a bit. I've done the standard clutch slippage test, getting into the the power in 5 th gear, and there is no slippage when the clutch is completely engaged. There doesn't seem to be any obvious adjustments for the clutch. Is this normal for a 9-3 clutch? My viggen seems pretty strong, but I've been in stronger cars with easier clutches. It's a lose-lose situation, clutch slip with even the lightest pedal pressure, and full disengagement needed to avoid gear crunching. Seems that eighty percent of the pedal travel is "no mans land", I'd just prefer the clutch to fully engage and disengage in a narrower band.
