hello oldzman,
i've got a short shifter installed in my 1990 9000 turbo, totally different animal than your car, but i have the same experience with the short shifter.
5th and reverse were hard at first, but now that they work and everything works great, 1st and 2nd can be a little gard to get into *SOMETIMES*.
not all the time, but every once and a while i have to coax it in a litte.
I think that, as long as it's not hurting anything, i dont really mind all that much. It's the trade off between not having a short shifter, and having one but dealing with a hard-ER than normal shift every once and a while.
if you get it fixed, let me know, you'll inspire me to finally re-adjust my own! :)
