As near as I can tell, my 1988 900 Turbo Convertible has vacuum connections that don't match either the Bentley Manual or the diagram on the left front wheel well, and I wonder if variable vacuum plumbing on Saabs is normal? Any comments on the connections below would be valuable.
At least these variations appear to me: a) there's a four prong Tee (a Tee, with an added "Z axis" barb that fits in the grommet in the manifold) at the rear, side of the manifold for brake & vent, with one barb plugged, where the (fender) diagram shows two tees; (b) the throttle body has three metal barbs, one to a tee, hoses to the fuel pressure regulator and one down to where the bypass valve might be, a center one to the distributor (the easy one!) and a third plugged; (c) also on the throttle body is a metal barb down below, that was plugged, but I attached my detached small evaporator canister hose here. The fender diagram shows this hose attached to the plugged one, on the top, but it's slightly too large. The Saab Fuel Injection manual diagram shows the evaporator hose connected to the bottom of manifold.
