Ok
so it sounds like a problem arose which wasent found & disconecting the hose to the pressure transducer was what seemed to help
please dont get me rong here but when something breaks unhooking a sensor to compensate for it isent fixing it its compounding the problem with another so you want the symptom there so you can find the actual problem
you are saying that you were getting good stable boost & that sudenly it changed
check & clean every electrical conector in the APC system especially the knock sensor if there is a crack in the knock sensor change it if the KS wire is anywhere near the distributor or the battery cable re locate it so it wont pick up inductive noise from your charging system
make sure that physicaly the BPC solonoid is closing off the W to the center hose barb key on engine off & that while this is occurring that when blowing into the center barb that the air is going out to the turbo inlet tube (opisite to the W barb) as this is a blead type boost controller
with the key on engine off when you depress the brake pedal & release it do you hear the BPC solonoid click?
did you change the hose between the BPC solonoid & the turbo inlet tube if so that hose has to be of large diameter like OE or it will limit your boost
are you running BCP7ES plugs? are they gaped down to like .8-.9MM are you positive all your ignition components are in good shape? are you sure your bypass valve is Ok?
basicaly what Im geting at is that you need the symptom to properly diagnose the problem & that causing another problem although it may bring the boost up isent fixiing the problem it is compuounding it & it sounds like you have a realy nice car that you like allot so you should only do your finest work on it :-)
there is allot of great diagnostic info on the APC systm here so check this
I wish you the best
take care
JAK
