People are naturally attracted to a car like the TT. But what kind of an attraction do you want to be?

Not much is really known about either car, so it's a draw in terms of general knowledge. The Viggen is a sleeper as its stablemates, the 9-3 and SE are everyman's cars and the Viggen isn't tricked-out all that much. i.e you really need to know your cars to determine a Viggen from a plain-Jane 3 model. This comes as a surprise to may of the unintitated; when the pedal hits the metal.

As for the driving experience, with a Viggen-Saab, you might expect to be called upon to exercise some control over the beast as if you don't, the steering wheel might take over on you. This would put you squarely in the driver's seat, rather as a Dukes of Hazard-type driver. This can be quite thrilling for some, whereas for others, it is a setback. This is a man's car. Do you have the shoulders and reflexes for it?

As for the safety factor, the size of each of these vehicles says it all. I don't know much about safety in the TTs. but it isn't an attractive or in any way compelling thought to run one into the back of, say, a schoolbus. Actuarial data on the 9 is more than satisfactory; it is exemplary. Fuggedabout the crash test dummies.

You might want to check out the comfort factor for each. Saab is renowned for its tremendous HVAC system and in miserable weather (never mind the snow) more glass is always better than less glass.
