Im sorry man but blowing into hoses isent how you diagnose a bad BPC
the ECU grounds either side while power is in the middle of the 3 wire plug at the BPC
you can manualy put ground to either side while 12V+ in the middle & see if it switches C to WR or just R but just blowing in the hose dosent say much without switching the solonoid as Ive seen them fail in both C conected to R & w & C conected to W & not R but they can fail slowly & still not perform properly even though they switch Ive switched them between cars to diagnose the problem too thats the easy way
so I guess I respectfuly disagree with that procedure for diagnosing the problem because like I stated Ive seen them fail both ways
& I cant stress enough how important it is to quickly diagnose & repair a BPC because if it jams with dirt the ECU trying to move it will overheat the coil shorting it which smokes the ECU so people dont screw around when it comes to BPC solonoids
buck a master tech on chat here quite often will tell you if boost is stuck low or high 90%of the time its the BPC
