Seems like the trash talkers are always the crappiest, scariest, most inconsiderate drivers out there. When I hear talk like that at a track day, I now think "stay the hell away from him/her". The ones who know how to DRIVE could care less what you show up with. Yeah the Prelude people were pretty funny with their comments, but the ones with a brain (probably not the ones putting racer tape over brake lights :- ) ) were cool from the get-go. The dip-sh&ts later identified themselves by leaning on the horn while under green, brake-checking people at 100mph, holding camcorders out the window at 75mph, blocking even as their brakes were fading, etc etc etc.
An example of why not to pre-judge people based on what they drive: one of the track days at Nelson's last year, this guy showed up with a ratty Sable wagon, slapped on a set of mismatched race tires he had pulled out of recycling piles, and lined up with the fast group. I think he was like 2-3 sec faster than me there. Just amazing to watch him keeping up with and passing all but the fastest cars out there. Someone who had the B#lls to ride with him said it was the scariest thing he'd ever done in his life. Apparently he'd intentionally drop the inside wheels off the track to hook it around the Kink at 110-115 or so.
