what I understand. Some say that the high altitude causes the turbo fins to spin faster than intended due to lack of air pressure, but while that may be somewhat true, I don't think it is a concern as turbo's WERE created specifically for high altitude operation. The T-7 more than any other system compensates for altitude better than say a t-5- it is always adjusting boost to match fuel for a specific measurable output. An upgraded ECU will do the same thing, only have a higher measurable output. If there is any discrepancy at altitude it will likely run rich before it will ever run lean and probably not by much. For the same reason my diesel truck blows rich black smoke at the top of Eisenhower Tunnel but not down in Denver.
I would wait to order your ecu until you have all the hardware additions that you want (DP, exhuast, ect..) then get an ecu custom talored or staged specifically for your hardware.
I remember my Viggen would generate considerably more boost at high elevations than down low, You have to love that t-7. My t-5 aero generates the same boost regardless.
