I have used lots of scanners I have the OTC genisys scanner one of the best out there which covers a wide range of vehicles I also have the labscope module on it 4 channel which is nice too anyhow......
because of the way information is coming out of the DLC the more requests for info you make the slower/less like real data it comes out on the screan
this will happen with any scanner
my scanner has minmax so if there is a glich upward or downward sudenly the max or min voltage in the range for that sensor goes up or down & this is a big help when diagnosing sensors while driving a car
also it compresses the graph about half way across the crean so if you miss it in real time it will take forever to clear from the screan
in playback though it might look better than looking while the problem is there
I am thinking of trading in on a tech2
no matter what software you buy or whatever scanner you buy the software for all the functions aside from OBD2 generic function viewing data & pulling codes (abs, body controll, engine, trans is saab only & only works with the tech2)
the tech2 is an OTC scanner & my genisys scanner has a flash port for a card that looks like tech2 but OTC will not let the software cross talk ....bummer
oh well
