To monitor the sensors is not a problem, but to get the V or Hz signal into readable form needs a little work.
I myself use a 16bit PC O-scope to log data from the sensors. Logging speed is not a problem 333K samples/s is the max.
The free logging sw has a built in converter so one can put their own formula direct to it and get the signal coverted to what ever.
For instance if you log the MAP, you will get a bunch of 0...5V readings.
They dont tell much until you convert the reading to Psi or Bar.
I my self covert the values in excel at the moment.
With 100E you can get a PC O-scope that will log 20k samples/1s 8bit, which is about 20 000 times as fast as the OBD ;)Looking the matter from this point of view the bang for the buck ratio in OBD logger sucs big time. The only benefit of OBD are the pre made SW's and one connector connection but I sure somebody could write a SW to O-scope's as well.
A O-scope needs to be wired into the car, either to the sensors or the ECU pins. Work is not too hard and here a people who can assist I bet.
