Hey there Saaber's!
I just finished a series of minor upgrades to my '88 SPG that have just made the feel absolutely amazing.
Most of you folks have not met SPiGy in person, but he's just as handsome as any Saab could be. He's dressed in black and has tinted windows and vent covers on the outside. Inside, he's got a new dash, very cool stereo (IMO), and is great condition generally.....
Anyway, he's had a K&N open air filter for a while, but Viking Saab in MD has helped me tap into the hidden potential of the car. We put the restriction in the BPC Solenoid (or for those of you who prefer, the APC Solenoid), we tweaked the APC and installed a Viggen Bypass Valve. Also adjusted the throttle cable to fix the slop in the line. Then we put Poly sway bar bushings (phenomenal difference!) and cross drilled rotors w/ Super Blue ATE Racing Brake Fluid. Further we bypassed the fuel cutoff. All of this led to a faster, better handling, better braking car with a major fuel problem. So last night I put in a new 3.0 FPR and WOW, it's holding major boost and it's just awesome!!!!!! Thanks so much to Eric & Jay at Viking Saab and WASSAAB for all of their help.
I look forward to meeting all of the DC area folks to share ideas and stories and show off our respective cars.
Sorry for the long post....
-Michael
