What kind of car is it? Presumably an old school 900, yeah? Keep in mind that c900s are quite different beasts from NG900s. C900s don't really have subframes from my understanding of them, but double A-arms/control arms/wishbones. NGs are McPherson struts at the front. Anybody correct me if I'm wrong, of course.
On c900s, the rubber upper control arm bushings on the passenger side are susceptible to wear because the exhaust is basically right next to it.
I noticed a lot of play in my control arms on that side when I was doing my brakelines a little while ago. Anyway, to check them, you can do a visual with the hood up. Otherwise, jack it up, remove the wheel and then see if there's play in the whole brake/hub/control arm assembly. If it's 'just' the passenger side, you can replace the upper bushings relatively easily, but it does require removing the spring. The driver's side requires engine removal.
