Hi David
Octane rating really does make a big difference, as well as brand of gasoline. I know that if I run 87, I wont get more than 14psi out of it. 93 is mid to high teens easily. Plus, buying 89 over 92-93 is really overpriced if you think about it (around here anyway, its a $.10 increase for each, so why pay .10 more for 2 octane when .20 is 5-6?).
As far as brand of gas...that's more personal. I always use Mobil - I personally refuse to put Citgo in any vehicle, and have heard bad things about Shell "V power."
As far as your g-tec and your 0-60 times, that isnt too far off, but yea you should be in the 9's. Could be that gas you have in your tank :)
Hope this helps!
