City yes - Freeway no.

I can't speed in the city anyways so the city falsing isn't a big deal to me. Besides if the bogey counter shows two signals every day at the same place and then one morning you get three bogeys you tend to pay attention to it - good chance that the new third signal is radar. If most of your driving is city I would probably get the Escort. Since most of mine is hwy the V1 is a good fit.

The Freeway is where the V1 really shines. Some will say the arrows are a gimmick. Scottsdale has so many unmarked patrol cars/trucks that I need the arrows to determine if an unmarked threat is sneaking up from behind or pulling away from me in front.

When I first got the V1 I was getting a Ka alert from behind. Then it would stop for 20 seconds and come back on stronger. Finally after a few minutes of this I get a full alert and don't see anything. I look closer in my mirror and see a plain SUV with three antennas a few cars back working it's way through traffic. He pulls up behind me (I'm doing the speed limit by now) and I slow to 50 in a 65. I probably ticked him off. The cop passes me and pulls in front and waits for someone to speed by him in the left lane.

If I didn't have the V1 I would have been the one with the ticket. Speedzones.com is a good source for info.
