Sway Bar + Strut Brace = good combo?

Hi folks,
I wanted to tighten up the feel of my 02 SE 5dr and wanted to start with the things that I can easily, and inexpensively install myself and go from there. As the board suggests, I would start with the rear sway bar. Secondly, I wanted to know if a good counterbalance to the rear end adjustment would be a strut brace in the engine compartment, or would I have to go with the six point undercarriage brace instead. Will those two options produce similar desireable results? I would prefer to do the strut brace since it does not involve as much labor time/effort/possible complications.
BTW, I was looking to buy these items from genuinesaab.com. Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks to a great board for all your help.
Jack
