Yeah, I've been through it a few times - I work at a Saab dealership. Heh.
The 'vert is heavier than the hardtop, and has different weight distribution issues, especially regarding the rear. So the free height is taller, due to the spring rate difference; what it boils down to is you're going to be nose down, ass up - not to a huge degree or anything, but you'll see it, and the rear is going to take longer to 'settle in,' so to speak.
I imagine that the 'vert springs will alleviate any bottoming out problems in the rear, even loaded, but the ride height drop is not going to be the same as a set of hardtop Viggen springs, and the springs will not feel as stiff and lively as you'd expect - or harsh, if you prefer that description. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it for a perfomance upgrade on a hardtop - it just doesn't match. Of course, if you have adjustable struts/shocks at all four corners, you can maybe work around it.
On the other hand, using hardtop Viggen springs on an SE convertible dropped the hell out of the car once they settled in... to the point of "no rear passengers, please." And it pretty harsh on anything less than smooth.
