I was thinking about buying the anticipator kit from mp to make my mbc an mbc+a. The filter is semi-isolated. We fit a rather large cone at an angle into the stock box so that I could keep the box to keep the cone off the belts (pita engineering for people who wanted to change outta the stock box :-D). I plan to extend the intake tube from the box into the bumper area to force colder air around the filter.

As for the intercooler; I understand that it will lower engine temperatures, reduce spool time, and improve MPG a bit (maybe?). Is there a considerable difference to the IC MP offers vs Viggen IC? What discourages me is having to buy hoses for 100+ each. Can they be fabricated? Im a pretty serious DIYer and everything im doing is a first for me so as I learn more I have greater confidence in taking more complicated tasks to hand.

I can hear the turbo whine now, and I can hear the new intake. Now im bitten by the exhaust bug, I want to drive under long bridges haha. Im interested in both the power and the new sound the exhuast will provide but I don't want the civic cannon sound. Im sure there are several tuners on this board that have different sounding exhausts. I am trying to stay some what on budget, 1k for the complete turbo to tip stainless exhaust sounds good in comparison to a custom job a friend of mine had to his 99 9-3. From the cat back into a dual pipe ran him about $700...

The 3'' DP w/Cat alone will also reduce temperatures and I believe give me quicker spool time, a considerable power increase, and sportier sound. Its 400 for just the DP and its about the same for the IC both from MP. I figured if im going to go for a DP I might as well get the whole exuast because some pieces are going on the stock one now.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Mark
