I was talking with Eriksson Transmissions rebuilders posing the same question about beefing up the 9000 transmission, he said there was nothing that they could do. I don't know if that is motivated by the desire that failing gear boxes keeps them in business (they want $1,900 + core for it!). He did mention about the pikes peak saab gearbox as being the upgrade for higher power. Don't think thats a realistic option. One thing I have been thinking about since sasse mentioned that 450 Nm is the power limit of the 9000 gearbox is what is happening when we put these 600-700 Nm pressure plates on. Sure the pressure plates hold but more at the expense of the gear box. I think I'd rather have my clutch slip as a safety "feature" rather than overloading my gear box. This also concerns me about going beyond a stage 3 since a stage 3 is just below 450 Nm. Maybe my dreams of having a M5 killer is just unrealistic.
