Both those wheel/tire combos should be fine w/out tire rub. But truthfully, if you can CHOOSE your offset, I'd go with an ET of 30. The 16" super Aero wheels that everybody uses from a late model 9000 AERO have an ET of 27 and some say that they "stick out" from the wheel arches too much for their taste. I thought they looked fine on my classic 900. So ET 30 would solve that. The stock ET 40 is way too far inboard of the car, vs. those AERO wheels with ET27. The farther out you push the wheels, the greater stability you will have, just as long as you don't go "crazy" on it, don't go further than the 27ET of those AERO wheels. I think you will benefit more from an ET30 on either 15 or 16 inch rims!
