Sonett II V4 horn wire numbers? Sanity check please

After 9 years off the road I'm about to put my 1969 Sonett, #1358, back into any-day use, but the horn doesn't work. I'm puzzled by the wiring schematic for the horn circuit.
The 1968 Sonett V4 owner's manual I own (printed Oct. 1967, hand note of serial #630) has a schematic showing a single wire #87 attached to each of the two horn units. This matches the physical configuration and nummerical identification of these wires on my car. The other ends of those #87 wires are connected to a "signal relay" which I presume is functioning as a horn relay.
My confusion is the 1968 manual schematic also shows yet another wire, also marked clearly as "87", connected to the plus battery post on the starter.
After some comparisons with various years of 95 and 96 V4 wiring from the factory service manuals, I have almost convinced myself that this hot, battery +, wire "#87" shown in the 1968 Sonett V4 owner's manual schematic as running from the starter is a typo and should actually be marked as wire "61" to the alternator.
Can anyone confirm my suspicion of a typo of the wire number from battery + to the alternator?
Jonathan
