Perhaps the steering wheel you are speaking of is the Saab Sport and Rally version which was made by Moto-Lita? These steering wheels could be ordered from Saab when the cars were sold. They were made by Moto-Lita and are still available. The Mark IV model is black leather wrapped and comes with three holes in each of the three spokes. There is a mounting boss available for the Saab 96 and Sonett. Also a horn button for the center of the wheel with the SAAB logo. Available diameters are 10,11,12,13,14,15" either flat or dished. Flat version may require the turn signal arm to be bent to clear. Dished version is similar to the stock steering wheel. Spokes can be polished or black. Cost is about $200.00. The only thing missing is the "SAAB" letters that were engraved on one of the spokes on the version sold from the SAAB catalog. This wheel is a nice replacement for the stock steering wheel.
