If you have an 900SE the amp for the extra speakers is under the passenger side of the dash near the AC expansion valve (?) but I think it has a square connector. No RCAs. You might be able to tap in there anyway.
All late model Saabs are pretty hostile towards audio upgrades.
If you don't have an SE consider buying the Saab AS3 (?) upgrade which is well worth the money. I still prefer the NG900SE sound system to the Harmon Kardon 9-5/9-3 system.
Regarding clips, yes they are double DIN removal tools I think and my dealer sold me a set used in the 9000.
Of course my old 900 came with them from the factory. Another nice little touch that went by the wayside.
