I have had a couple pairs of 'Yeti Snow Nets' for 15+ years. I have used them on my '82, '83, '90, and '94 (yep; even a NG!) 900s.
They are a reinforced, diamond-pattern rubber net with stainless fastenings on the diamond intersections. They work well in snow and on ice, and are reasonably easy to install and remove. They also are quiet and relatively smooth on bare road patches.
The only down-side is that they're only rated for 30 MPH or 50 KPH (though you probably shouldn't be driving any faster with any chains installed).
I have not seen them advertised for many years. If anyone has a current source, please post! ----------------- John Weiss www.tsca.net/puget/ Sent from home
