replaceable window switch or switch cluster?
Posted by Tom Reingold (more from Tom Reingold) on Sat, 7 Oct 2000 13:24:39
The front passenger window sometimes gets stuck. No amount of pushing
the switch in any direction can coax it to work. Then at some random
time, days later, it resumes working. This is unnerving, because of
course I like to park my car with the windows closed.

I wanted to isolate the problem by exchanging the switch with one for
another window. In my old 1987 9000S, this would have been easy. But
in my 1995 9000CS, there seems to be one cluster for all window
switches. Egads, the individual switches were like $60. I shudder to
think how much this cluster costs, and I haven't even yet proven that
this is where the problem is.

What's the deal?
