shifter on 89 9000t
Posted by Cort D (more from Cort D) on Tue, 28 Nov 2000 21:40:52
Question for the group. My wife's 9000t 5 speed exibited some odd
behaviour today, that is the shifter got sloppy in the side to side
direction when I tried to shift into 5th. When we got home from the
school function we were attending I checket the linkage out and found no
problems. Had my wife sit in the car and watched the coupeling move in
unison. when I checked the shifter a few minutes ago it seemed basicly
normal (i do not drive the car that much ususally my 85 900 which has a
whole diffrent shift feel) I see no obvious problems in the shifter,
pulled the boot and all seems ok, could something be wrong in the
<<GULP>> trany it self? or is it a simple centering spring I cant see?

TIA
Cort
