More Light problems
Posted by Oz and Liz (more from Oz and Liz) on Mon, 18 Dec 2000 09:23:12
Hi all,
I sent out a note last week about my brake lights failing. It turned out to be the brake switch on the petal. So I was talking to my father in law, who was the previous owner and mentioned thist to him. He mentioned that this part was changed earlier this year ( March ) and thats when the problem with the drivers side parking lights started.
The drivers side parking lights don't work ( front to back ). The fuse keeps blowing. Sometimes in a matter of minutes and sometimes after days. He said that the tailight ground procedure ( in the faq ) was performed. He also said that the wiring has been swapped from the fuse box to the connector behind the back seat. One of these days, we are going to finish the rewiring, but I wanted to run it by the list to see if there were any other suggestions. I'm especially curious if there's some sort of connection between the brake lights and parking light, or if its just a coincidence about the switch.
The car is an 86 900S with 232K miles.
Thanks Osman
