poor functioning brakes
Posted by Stephen Hartsell (more from Stephen Hartsell) on Wed, 27 Dec 2000 00:22:05
Hello all...

My Christmas present was poor functioning brakes on my '88 9kt. I hit
the brakes not far from home. Pedal was Very high, feel was very
hard, and stopping poor, better the harder I pressed. Reputable
repair shop has ruled out frozen brake lines (we've had lots of 0
degree days) and they say ABS still works. They consulted with
nearest Saab dealer (Gibson Motors, 45 miles away in Perrysville,IN,
Saabers since '59) and suspect 'hydraulic pressure tank', for lack of
a proper term. What is the proper term? What might be some other
avenues of investigation? All comments welcome...

Recently tried to find Townsend Imports URL and tried to link to old
bookmarks of Townsend's info pages. No luck. Any suggestions?
