1997, 9000 Radio problem
Posted by c.k.christacopoulos (more from c.k.christacopoulos) on Wed, 8 Aug 2001 15:04:31
Hi,
9000 CSE, UK spec.
My radio/cassette (SAAB equipment) decided not to work after leaving the car for two weeks. I removed a number of fuses and then it came back live asking for the code to be entered.
I entered the wrong code (who knows how many times) upon which the radio stayed with the wrong code and refused to remove it.
SAAB suggested I leave the radio on for at least an hour to see if it will reset and ask for the code again (left for 1.30 hours did not work).
I then removed the two fuses and left the car overnight. It has now removed the code but it all I see is '-- -- -- --' where it expects each digit to be.
Any suggestions as to what I can do with it? Can a radio be recoded?
Thanks Charles
