You could probably get a sid from a wrecker for a little more than $100 but
maybe less than $150. Hopefull closer to the former. Problem is, this
problem is so prevalent that you may be buying one with even more stripes
out of it?!

I thought about getting a sid-2 on the premise that: as long as i'm paying
to have a new one in there, may as well get one with more cool features and
put it down to it being an 'upgrade'.

the sid2 has the trip computer type stuff in it right? well, the thing is,
it looks skinnier than my sid (ng 1996 900s). and i don't know if it would
fit...maybe one of those car stereo type places could space it in there for
me? anybody know anything about this?

(seems like every kind of good idea i think i have turns out to be laughable
as soon as i ask it out loud to a group like this, but hey, that's how you
learn right?)
