Subject: Clutch hydraulic bleeding ================= The section of hose between the master and slave on the clutch hydraulics on my 1988 9000S split the other day. I just finished replacing this part, a hose/pipe section, and I am having trouble bleeding it. The dreaded Bentley 9000 manual indicates that this circuit cannot be bled with standard pumping of the pedal like bleeding brakes, but instead should be bled with an external pressure system. I filled the master before finishing the assembly. To pressurize the system, I am applying light air pressure to the small hole in the hydraulic system cap. It appears that I am bleeding the system, I get bubbles and fluid out of the slave cylinder bleed nipple, but after tightening the nipple, I do not have seem to be able to get rid of the slack in the system.
I doubt the slave cylinder and the hose failed at the same time and I've checked the master cylinder. It's fun. I feel like I am missing something really simple here. Any suggestions?
Also, what is the concencious of the 2004 or 2005 9-5 5 speed wagon? Does anyone have one yet/
