Hakkapolitas (sp?) for a couple of seaons and they were fabulous in deep
snow, but less so on grease or ice. We're now running Blizzaks and I love
them.

I assume you mean the MZ-02 Blizzaks which are an awesome ice tire.
I got them last season, it was somewhat of a risk but they are excellent.

We seem to get packed snow over ice where I live and this makes them
essential for winter. They're not great in deeper snow, but the
older Blizzak WS-15 (like the older Hakkas) are good open tires for
that.

Hakka now also has a studless tire. Studless ice tires grip very well
and also don't chew up the roads, and they're quieter.

I actually run MXV4's on my 900 which are fine for most random snow
events but I don't even drive the Saab anywhere if there is ice,
I use my 'other' car with the Blizzaks. I guess I should get Blizzaks
for the Saab too!
