'87 9kT snow tires (or not?) final
Posted by Joe (more from Joe) on Thu, 16 Sep 1999 21:32:09
Thanks everyone!! :)

One final question: do you keep a spare set of wheels(rims) and simply
swap the whole wheel OR do you unmount one set from the wheels and mount
the other set?

I had a Renault GTA which came with 195/50 VR15 XGTs on Ronal alloys
which stuck like super glue but were AWFUL in snow so I had a set of 4
Encore steel wheels with 175/70 R13 Blizzaks(don't know which flavor).
The Blizzaks were OK but they lose their super ice/water grip at ~1/2
wear (according to Bridgestone's own documentation). Previously, I used
Kelly-Springfield's which looked like they fell off a John Deere, but
they had serious belt problems.

Also, I've never heard of Hakkas. Where do you get them?

Best wishes,
Joe
